This is a sought-after circa 1950 MASCO EMM6 tube mixer that i completely rebuilt.
You can see many many more examples of my work at preservationSound.com. Also on my IG (same).
I can say without reservation that it is the best-sounding EMM-6 on the planet, now, or ever.
Every single cap has been replaced. Almost every single resistor has been replaced. Only top-quality parts used.
The input jacks were replaced with 1/4" switchcraft, wired ala FENDER with 1m to ground, 68K grid stop.
The crappy fixed output cable was replaced with a switchcraft 1/4."
Grounded AC power lead added.
The power lamp in these units is highly problematic owing to the physical placement and high current present at 117v.
I have corrected this by fitting a 6.3V lamp powered from the filaments.
No more noise.
All the tubes are good used vintage RCA 12AX7.
I realize that it aint cheap, but its a bargain for what you getting. this took 6 hours of shop time plus about $80 in parts, so if you were to find one of these, even for free, you would be looking at about $700 in work to get to where this one is.
Price is firm.
any Qs LMK. Thanks and have a great day.
