1963 Fender Jaguar – Black Refinish – Mastery Bridge – Original Bridge Included – Hardshell Case

A genuine pre-CBS Fender Jaguar from 1963 with the sound, feel, and character that come from more than six decades of playing.

The guitar was refinished in black earlier in its life. It shows extensive checking, wear, marks, and signs of use throughout, all clearly visible in the photographs. This is a well-played vintage instrument with a wonderfully broken-in feel and plenty of authentic character.

Both pickups appear to be period-correct black-bottom, flat-pole Jaguar pickups. The bridge pickup retains its cloth-covered lead wire. The neck pickup has had its lead wires replaced at some point, so the related solder joints have been disturbed. The pickup itself appears original and period-correct, but it is not being represented as completely untouched.

The pots and remaining wiring harness also appear original and period-correct. The visible 1M Stackpole pot is dated to the 15th week of 1962, which is correct for a 1963 Fender Jaguar. Detailed photographs of the pickups and electronics are included for transparency.

The guitar is currently fitted with a Mastery bridge for improved stability, string retention, and playability. The original Fender bridge is included, allowing the guitar to be returned to its previous setup if preferred.
