Beautiful and all original example of this historically significant Fender Stratocaster. I have tried to take pictures from every angle to show the excellent condition. The wiring and everything appear 100% original. Neck is straight and Frets are in really good condition, I don't think this was played very much- I think it was a "Case Queen." The guitar weighs in at 10 lb 6 oz on my scale. I know, I know, but '79 strats are basically "Les Paul" weight. The following minor issues shown in pictures need to be mentioned:
1. Slight wear on the Pickguard by the truss rod - previous owner did what a lot of Stratocaster owners do, adjust it without taking off the neck or pickguard.
2. Small scratch/finish check by the upper horn..see second to last picture.
There is also very minor "edge wear" along the body and other minor checks..
NOT Mint- But any dealer would call this EXC for a 47-year-old guitar.
3. Missing the whammy arm..easy find .
4. Non original but excellent Fender TSA case
