I've had this Mackie Onyx 1620i in my smoke-free studio for years, and it's been one of those pieces of gear that's simply dependable. The Onyx mic preamps sound excellent, the EQ is musical, and the built-in FireWire multitrack interface makes it a fantastic centerpiece for anyone who appreciates the workflow and sound of a true analog console.

This mixer is in very good condition with only light cosmetic wear from normal studio use. It works as it should and is ready for its next studio.

*Please note, some of the screws on the mixer's sides are missing from being previously rackmounted and I don't have the original screws. The remaining screws adequately secure the side panels and the mixer can be handled regularly.*

If you're looking for the warmth and hands-on workflow of an analog mixer with the convenience of multi-track computer recording*, the Onyx 1620i remains one of Mackie's best-designed hybrid consoles. I've used it for live sound at small events, as well. Not using much anymore so it's time for someone else to put it to good use.

*(if you still have an older computer with FireWire ports for this function. Otherwise, a multi-track workaround is that ch 1-8 inserts can be used to send ch 1-8 (pre- or post-fader) signal, for example, to a multi-track audio interface's inputs 1-8.)
