At the heart of the Royal Velvet is a custom steel-core transformer, specifically loaded to give the pedal an incredibly amp-like, dynamic feel. It works exceptionally well as a standalone drive with gorgeous top-end chime, or as a foundational preamp that takes other drive pedals beautifully.

One of the best features of this pedal is how it responds to voltage. Run it at 9V for a sweet, slightly compressed grind, or bump it up to 18V for a stiffer feel, maximum clean headroom, and brilliant British sparkle.
