With an ULTRA THIN weight of only 1160 grams this Sabian 18” plays like a beautiful Paper Thin Dark Crash. As you can see, the surface is wavy and heavily hammered.
It’s Paper Thin but also FULL when you lay into it.
The tone is dark, very complex, organic, warm but this specific 18” has a fastness to it.
It's remarkably responsive at low level volumes but roars when laid in to.
Perfect for soft to loud settings. So responsive it easily comes alive with mallets.
No issues. Light golden patina just starting to build. Typical use from a studio.
One of the best sounding Paper Thin 18"s you’ll hear.
Beautiful. Playable. Collectible. And less than the regular humdrum big box store version.
