A 1979 Music Man StingRay from the pre-Ernie Ball years, built in Fullerton, California while Leo Fender's CLF Research was still making the instruments. Natural ash body, one-piece maple neck with a maple fingerboard, 21 frets and a 34" scale, the 3-bolt micro-tilt neck joint, and the original alnico humbucker feeding the original 2-band active preamp.
All the details that make a pre-EB Ray a pre-EB Ray are here: the string-through-body bridge with its four adjustable mutes, the 3+1 headstock, the black oval pickguard and the chrome control plate. It weighs 4.73 kg, it's in really good condition for its age, it comes in its original Music Man hardshell case, and it sounds the way the records sound.
