About this listing
A 1997 Les Paul Studio has arrived. The Les Paul Studio is characterized by its binding-free body and simple design. The wood specifications are the same as the Les Paul Standard: a maple top and mahogany back for the body, and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, joined via a set-neck construction. It is equipped with high-output 490R/498T pickups. Although it weighs 4.07 kg?which is slightly on the heavy side?it delivers a crisp, well-defined tone that resists distortion, producing a sharp, clear clean tone and a driving sound with great sustain. There is paint peeling around the outer edge of the headstock, as well as paint peeling on the neck grip at the 8th fret and the body end?likely caused by a guitar stand. Overall, there are numerous scratches, dents, and paint chips of varying sizes scattered across the instrument, indicating significant wear from use. Although it has been well-used and has relatively little fret life remaining, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent. The dial lock on the hard case is broken, but this does not affect storage or transport.
