The Gibson ES-335 60s captures the style and characteristics of the historic ES-335 models from the early 1960s, blending the classic semi-hollow body essence of Gibson with a more modern and streamlined feel. Designed for musicians who prefer slimmer necks and defined, dynamic vintage tones, this version retains all the charm of the ES-335 from that era.
The body is constructed with a three-layer structure of maple/poplar/maple, combined with a maple center block that enhances sustain and feedback control while maintaining the characteristic tonal openness and resonance of the ES-335.
The mahogany neck features the renowned SlimTaper profile, which offers a faster and smoother grip compared to the profiles of the 1950s.
The rosewood fingerboard, adorned with binding, is equipped with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and Small Block acrylic inlays, a distinctive detail of the early 1960s ES-335 models.
The electronics consist of a pair of calibrated T-Type humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets, designed to recreate the bright, open, and defined character of the famous Gibson T-Top Humbuckers from that era, providing great tonal versatility and an extremely musical dynamic response.
