The Opto Stomp is an optical analog compressor designed to deliver smooth, musical and fairly warm compression, inspired by the optical circuit used in the brand’s B-Max preamps. Its design favors gradual, natural compression rather than a pronounced effect, helping to even out dynamics while preserving the instrument’s character and attack. It features simple controls, including Output and Threshold, as well as a -15 dB input pad for high-output signals and an LED indicating the amount of compression. It features true hardwire bypass and runs on 9V, either from a battery or an AC adapter.
