2 x TAD TL-1601a (Pioneer) bass speakers - just the baskets with magnets, no diaphragms or voice coils. Very nice condition. Iconic, top-of-the-line version.

I'm selling two TAD TL-1601a (Pioneer) bass speakers in very good condition – but just the baskets and magnets, no diaphragms or voice coils. This is the iconic and best version. This offer is for fans of the sound of vintage TADs. They have been stored in a dry place. The magnets are protected from dust with tape.

These speakers were installed in, among others:

- Exclusive Model 2401 (Twin) – luxurious, large studio monitors from the Exclusive brand (owned by Pioneer) using two TL-1601a speakers in a parallel configuration.

- Exclusive Model 2402 – a similar version of the studio monitors with a single bass section based on TL-1601a drivers. - Augspurger Studio Mains – legendary in-wall (soffit-mounted) main monitors custom-built for recording studios, which used two 15" TAD TL-1601a speakers per channel as the bass section.

Regarding cone and voice coil kits, original TAD kits sometimes appear on marketplaces (e.g., here on Reverb) for around $200 each. There's also a guy in Germany who stocks original voice coils and sells them at a reasonable price.

Regarding new, "aftermarket" kits available immediately, they cost around $140 each. Just search for "TAD 1601a Recone Kit."

I won't go into detail about how they sound or why, just the baskets themselves. I'm open to price offers.

SHIPPING:
Because these speakers are enormous and very heavy, they must be shipped by courier (DHL, UPS, or GLS) in TWO separate packages. Each package measures 50cm x 50cm x 25cm and weighs approximately 16kg each (!). The speakers are packed in OSB (compressed wood) boxes and packed with protective materials.

Delivery within the European Union usually takes 3-4 business days, but due to the weight and size, it may take a few days longer.

Note: For courier deliveries, a phone number and email address are required. Not everyone likes this (I even received negative feedback once about them asking for personal information... :/) But I really don't need them :). These are courier company requirements. For example, in Germany, your parcel won't be delivered if the phone number you provide isn't valid, and the courier won't be able to warn you that it's an unusual delivery. So, keep this in mind when purchasing these items.
