I am selling a KORG M3R, a classic vintage rack synthesizer from the KORG M series, sold as a repair project.
The unit powers on correctly and the sound engine works perfectly during testing. At startup it shows the message "INIT PROG": the backup battery needs to be replaced and the factory settings need to be restored via MIDI (a simple procedure and easy to perform).
Unfortunately, the front panel buttons do not respond. The unit has probably suffered a fall or impact: the display is also slightly tilted horizontally. I do not have the technical skills to repair it, so I am selling it as a project for someone who can restore it.
The most important part, the sound generation section, is fully working and the synthesizer produces sound correctly.
A video demo is available, showing the unit powered on and the actual sounds being produced, so you can clearly hear that the sound engine is working.
