The CS-356 is characterized by its compact body and a unique tone that combines the sound of a Les Paul with the airy quality of a semi-hollow body.
The body features a chambered mahogany back and a curved maple top; the neck is mahogany, the fingerboard is Richlite, and it is equipped with 57Classic pickups.

There is some slight warping in the neck, but at this time, it has virtually no impact on playability. It will be delivered as-is.
There are noticeable horizontal paint cracks along the edges where the body meets the neck on the sides and back of the body, and a vertical paint crack on the neck side near the 6th string.
There are scuff marks on the headstock and the back of the neck, and there are paint cracks near the edge of the headstock binding and around the inlays.
There are paint cracks along the body binding, playing scratches on the pickguard, and some tarnish and pitting on the metal hardware.
There are other signs of wear and discoloration, but the overall condition is good.
