Revolutionary stereo amplifier from Marshall, model 9100 Dual MonoBloc, version 5881, 100% tube amplifier with 2 x 50 Watts RMS power, Made in England in 1997. The 5881 power tube is similar to a 6L6 tube, but with a more robust construction and prepared for extreme performance (as a point of interest, it is used for military purposes, namely in Russian fighter jets). - 4x paired 5881 tubes, 2x 12AX7 (ECC83), 2x 12AT7 (ECC81).
Also included is a case for the Marshall with rack mounting brackets.
The Marshall has 4x paired Russian 5881 power tubes from Sovtek. It has been fully serviced by a specialized technician; regarding Marshall maintenance, it is 100% ready for professional use and recording. The Model 9100 series represented the latest step forward in tube amplifier technology. Their construction incorporates many revolutionary and evolutionary features. From the striking styling to the radical circuit design, these power amplifiers have a sound of their own, without compromising the true Marshall heritage. This stereo power amplifier is actually two completely separate "MonoBlocs," a feature typically found only in expensive hi-fi tube power amplifiers. This means the only common electrical point is the power supply. Therefore, anything that happens to one power amplifier will not affect the other half. Furthermore, in the unlikely event that one side fails, the other side will continue playing independently. These improvements include Marshall's latest "True Differential Inverter (T.D.I.)" technology, which expands the capabilities of the "phase inverter" to be closer to a true differential amplifier than most other circuits used until then. In short, a phase divider (phase inverter) receives the input signal and inverts half of it. The inverted half forms the lower half of the sound envelope, and the non-inverted half forms the upper half. The effect of TDI technology is to provide a more defined sound spectrum over a wider bandwidth without compromising the overdrive and compression effects for which tube amplifiers are famous. This also allows for more radical uses of feedback and the incorporation of the existing "voicing" switch on each channel. These incredible "voicing" options can be used to expand the tone of the respective preamp and can be activated remotely via footswitch.
