King 3B 2103 Straight Tenor Trombone. It’s a popular trombone amongst jazz musicians. It’s a versatile instrument that has a traditional jazz sound and can be used in a range of music settings, including concert bands and smaller ensembles. The “2103” was stamped on the bell as visible in the photos above and is known and referred to as a 3B by this designation. The 3B has a .508” (12.9 mm) small-medium bore size with an 8” bell. It has a larger bore than its Liberty 2B sister. It has a yellow-brass bell, a lightweight nickel-silver slide, and a small shank mouthpiece receiver. According to the Conn-Selmer website, the serial number on this horn dates back to 1985. It’s in good, used condition with some dents on various areas of the horn, including inside and outside of the bell, the top and underneath the tuning slide, the bottom slide bow, some worn-off lacquer along the bell rim, scratches, and minor signs of use on various areas of the horn as visible in the photos above. None of these imperfections affects the function/playability of the instrument. It comes with a case *NOT* the original. It’s guaranteed to be carefully packaged and shipped in good playing condition.
