2.132The 50 Series represents the most exclusive level of Lowden production, featuring hand-selected Master Grade woods and artisanal finishes. The F model is Lowden's Grand Auditorium format: highly balanced, excellent for fingerstyle playing but also offering sufficient volume and dynamics for accompaniment and flatpicking. Description This Lowden F-50 pairs a Master Grade Sinker Redwood top with Master Grade Macassar Ebony back and sides, a rare and highly sought-after combination. Sinker Redwood offers an immediate response, rich in harmonics, and exceptional sensitivity. Compared to traditional spruce, it produces a warmer, more mature tone even when new. Macassar Ebony provides great definition, deep lows, rich mids, and bright but never aggressive highs. The result is an extremely balanced instrument with tremendous sustain and remarkable note separation. The 5-piece laminated mahogany and rosewood neck ensures great stability over time, while the GL Standard profile offers excellent comfort for both fingerstyle and picking.
