The Heavy Water MKII exists because players asked for the boost side of The Dane as a standalone pedal—so Thorpy delivered it… and then went further. The right side is the same high-headroom, super clean boost from The Dane. The left side is tweaked for more attitude, using germanium diodes to reduce headroom and introduce musical clipping as you push the boost level.

This isn’t “two boosts for the sake of it.” The clean side is designed to make everything louder without adding its own distortion until the upper reaches, and the Lows control lets you tailor the low end so your amp doesn’t go flubby when you hit it hard.
Stacking both sides is where it gets special: push the left side with the clean right side and keep the left boost lower for a very amp-like, poweramp-leaning drive feel.

Control-wise, each side offers Boost + Lows, usable independently or together.
And if you run loopers/switchers: there’s a CUSTOM SHOP TRS IO version for independent control in TRS systems; for a standard pedalboard setup, choose NORMAL IO.
