Here's the story behind the DUAL ATTENUATOR:
A few years ago I was an AC/DC cover band member. I was Angus (nothing less !!!) and I was playing on a cranked single channel Marshall with a standard attenuator on top of it. The tone was just perfect for solos. For rythm parts I rolled down my guitar volume knob but my tone was either not crunchy enough or too loud...

This little story speaks to you guys, doesn't it?

Then this idea came to me: I need a footswitchable second level of attenuation to adjust the overall volume of my desired crunchy 'rythm' tone.

... This is one example of a possible application for this device !

You may just need the exact same tone just louder sometimes ... This is yet another possible application among many others (impossible to achieve with a boost pedal when your amp doesn't have enough headroom left)
