For sale: Empirical Labs EL8-X Distressor – a legendary studio classic and one of the most versatile analog compressors available.
This is the expanded EL8-X version featuring British Mode and Image Link. The Distressor offers an extremely wide range of compression, from smooth opto/LA-2A-style compression to fast and aggressive 1176-style compression, including British Mode inspired by the legendary “all buttons in” setting.
Excellent for vocals, drums, bass, guitars, and many other instruments. It also offers 2nd- and 3rd-order harmonic distortion for adding extra character.
Fully functional and in perfect, like-new condition. Originally purchased from Thomann. Selling simply because it isn’t getting enough use.
