I am offering a Gibson Memphis ES-335 Studio Ginger Burst from 2017, a still manufactured in Memphis, Tennessee (USA), semi-hollow electric guitar with top, back, and sides made of laminated maple, including solid maple center block (with total weight of just 3.55kg!), set maple neck with soft “C” neck profile and 42.9mm bone nut (upgrade), bound torrefied maple fretboard with Pearloid dot inlays, sonically versatile humbucker pickup set consisting of a ‘57 Classic at the neck and a Super ‘57 Classic at the bridge, high-quality ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge with Stopbar tailpiece, Gibson Deluxe Keystone tuners (upgrade), black pickguard (upgrade) and Dietrich Parts String Butler (pgrade) in a beautiful Ginger Burst high-gloss nitro finish with black bindings and shiny nickel hardware in excellent condition, including black Gibson luxury hardshell case, manufacturer’s paperwork, and professional luthier setup with 10-46 GHS Boomer strings.

Since its introduction in 1958, the Gibson ES-335, with its characteristically warm sound, has been a staple in the history of rock music. This visually streamlined Studio version of the ES-335 in Ginger Burst draws inspiration from the 1950s models but comes with some top-notch modern details.

The guitar originates from Gibson’s Memphis, USA, facility—which has since, unfortunately, closed—and features a rare high-gloss Ginger Burst nitro finish. Together with the pearloid dot inlays set into the dark, torrefied maple fingerboard, the guitar takes on a truly unique look that harmonizes perfectly with the black bindings and silver nickel hardware.

The three-ply maple body with a solid maple center block results in an excellent weight of just 3.55kg, allowing the guitar to produce outstanding natural resonance even when played acoustically. Plugged in, a pair of Gibson ’57 Classic/Super ’57 Classic humbuckers with Alnico II magnets deliver the characteristic warm, mid-focused semi-acoustic tone, which is suitable for classic jazz and blues sounds as well as driving rock tones and groovy funk riffs. This guitar is an absolute all-rounder: from the wailing, resonant tone of Eric Clapton’s “Woman Tone” to Dave Grohl’s driving riffs and Chris Cornell’s experimental soundscapes, the ES-335 handles it all with remarkable reliability.

Playability is very comfortable thanks to the medium-width soft “C” neck profile, the 42.9mm nut width, and the 628mm scale length.

This guitar is in excellent condition and technically flawless. Visually, there is only minor surface wear (see photos). The frets are in top condition.
