For sale is a rare 1988 Gibson Chet Atkins CE Showcase Edition in the beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish.
This is not the standard Chet Atkins CE. It belongs to Gibson’s limited 1988 “Showcase Edition / Guitar of the Month” series. The Chet Atkins CE Showcase Edition was produced in a limited run of only 200 instruments, making this a particularly collectible version of Gibson’s famous Chet Atkins nylon-string electric guitar.

The guitar features the characteristic chambered solidbody construction, nylon strings, cutaway body, Gibson pickup/electronics system and gold hardware. The original “Showcase Edition” marking is clearly visible on the back of the headstock.
The guitar is in good vintage condition for its age and shows normal signs of use, including some scratches and marks on the top. Please study the detailed photographs, as they form an important part of the description.
The beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish still presents very well, and the back is particularly clean and glossy.
Included is the original Gibson hardshell case with the distinctive pink plush interior, which is also in very nice vintage condition.
