The Gibson Dove Original in Vintage Cherry Sunburst is one of those guitars you recognize immediately, even before you’ve played a single note. The combination of the dreadnought design, the pronounced cherry burst, and the richly detailed pickguard with inlaid dove gives this model a distinct identity within the Gibson acoustic line.

Under the hood, it is all about definition and projection. The solid Sitka spruce top provides a fast response and a clear foundation, while the flame maple back and sides ensure a tight, focused tone with clear articulation. Combined with the long scale length, this delivers a powerful, open sound that holds up well in a band setting. The square shoulder body adds just enough warmth and balance to make the whole sound musically rounded. The traditional scalloped X-bracing contributes to a lively, dynamic character with plenty of headroom.
