This is a Fender Collector's Edition Black and Gold Telecaster, made in Fullerton, USA, during the Dan Smith-era. This is a quite rare and sought after collectors item, as only 500 were made. The serial number starts with a “CE” for Collectors Edition. These guitars have a couple of unique features. All the hardware have been electroplated with 4 layers of 18 carat gold (some say), which would explain why it doesn’t look tarnished after all these years. Together with the black finish and matching headstock, the guitar looks absolutely fantastic. The gold plated brass bridge also has a unique design that only can be found here. You also have a Fender USA stamp on the bridge and control cover. Original case included.

The guitar has a tight acoustic sound and delivers a classic Tele twang when plugged in. The neck feels great, with with a faint V-feel to it. This Tele plays great and is the go-to guitar in the shop, when you just want to play a really good Tele. Condition wise it’s in really good shape for its age. Couple of paint chips on the sides of the body but the front and back looks great. Frets show some wear but pose no problem. Weight: 4.23kg

The body has been professionally routed for a humbucker and a modified original pickguard is included for those who wish to revert to that setup.
