The mel9 is an effect pedal that emulates the mythical sounds of the mellotron, a vintage instrument born in the early 1960s, based on the principle of reading sounds recorded on magnetic strips read in loop, with so many heads of reading only keys on the keyboard. (We generally consider that the mellotron is one of the first samples). Used widely in pop, rock and progressive of the 60s and 70s, the hypnotic and soft timbre of mellotron has conquered many groups, including the Beatles, Beach Boys, Kinks, Rollings Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Yes , Klaus Schultze, Kraftwerk ... based on technology which allowed the creation of the pedals B9, C9 and Key9, the sound engine of Mel9 embarks 9 of the most evocative sounds of the original mellotron: Orchestra, Cello (cello), Strings ( section of strings), flute, clarinet, saxophone, brass (brass section), low choir (serious choir), high choir (acute choir). Can be used with a guitar, a bass (to the stroke of the vacuum) or a keyboard (mono audio output). Works without modification of the instrument, does not require a special sensor or MIDI implementation. Ensures full monitoring of bends, slides and vibrato blows. Independent outputs "Effect" (Treaty) and "DRY" (untreated). Attack: adjustment of the rise of sound. Sustain: Duration of extinction of the sound after the release of the note. Supplied with a 9.6DC200MA PSU power supply. Dimensions in mm: 102 (l) x 121 (l) x 89 (h). The Méllotron registered trademark is the property of David Kean, Mr. Resch Ab and Markus Resch.
