For sale is an incredible 1981 Boss CE-2 Chorus in fantastic cosmetic and 100% original electronic condition.

This is a rare, highly sought-after early production unit featuring the elusive NEC c4558c op-amp, which was only used in a limited run during 1981. It yields a notably warmer, more organic, and wonderfully lush chorus texture compared to later versions with the 4558DD chip.

Enclosure Details: Features the longer "CE-2" text underneath "Chorus" and the classic "use a coin" battery door inscription, exclusive to very early editions.

100% Original Circuit: The internal circuit remains untouched and completely stock.

Condition: The exterior is in excellent shape for its age. Inside, the circuit board and components are exceptionally clean. (Note: The inner compartment where the serial number would normally be located shows minor clearance modification from past handling, but everything else is pristine, and it includes a brand new battery snap).

Currently runs on 12V, but can be professionally adapted for standard 9V use at no extra cost upon request, without removing any original components.
