Importantly, this is the original API design featuring four genuine, original API 2520 discrete operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) inside. These legendary API 2520 Op-Amps are a fundamental part of the characteristic API sound and are one of the key elements behind the 3124+'s renowned punch, clarity, headroom and transient response.

All four channels are fully operational. Gain controls, VU meters, phantom power, polarity switches and front-panel Hi-Z inputs all work properly.

The API 3124+ needs very little introduction: four channels of the classic API 312 microphone preamp design in a single rack space. Its characteristic sound makes it an outstanding choice for drums, vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards and virtually any recording source. The four front-panel Hi-Z inputs also provide excellent direct-instrument capability.
