Built during the brand's golden era, it serves as a viable alternative to the Stratocaster.Regarding tone: the swamp ash body delivers crystalline highs and tight lows.The "HSH" pickup configuration offers great versatility, featuring a 3-way selector switch and a push-pull tone pot.Pickup details: McCarty bridge—powerful, with a warm, vintage sound; perfect for rock and overdriven blues. Middle pickup: Duncan Vintage Rails—Stratocaster-style tone, bright and precise. Neck pickup: McCarty Humbucker—round, flute-like, and very woody-sounding thanks to the ash body. Push-pull function: Activating the push-pull engages the middle pickup in parallel with the split coils of the humbuckers. This yields the classic Stratocaster positions 2 and 4 tones (that signature "quack"), but with more body.The guitar is in very good condition. The neck shows some playing patina (see photo). The frets are in good shape and free of buzzing. The tuners have been replaced, but the originals are included in the case. There are some signs of playwear on the finish and a small mark on the edge below the pickup selector (see photos). It weighs 3.5 kg.Having owned several PRS guitars, I have always been impressed by their reliability. You can easily switch from Strat-style tones to Les Paul-style humbucker sounds.
