About this listing
Here is an exceptionally clean and seldom-seen 2003 Gibson ES-135 in a beautiful sunburst finish. This is the rare no-F-hole version produced near the end of the ES-135’s original run—a distinctive transitional design that combines classic Gibson archtop styling with a tighter, more controlled semi-hollow voice.Unlike the traditional ES-135, this special version features no F-holes, dual covered humbuckers, a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The result is excellent sustain, reduced feedback and a rich, warm Gibson tone that works beautifully for blues, classic rock, jazz and roots music. It offers much of the character and resonance of a semi-hollow guitar while delivering a more focused response at higher volume. The guitar is in excellent condition and presents beautifully. The sunburst finish, double-bound body, Florentine cutaway and minimalist dot-inlay fingerboard give it a striking appearance. The neck and headstock are clean, with no breaks or repairs observed. Please review all photographs closely as part of the condition description.Included is the fitted Gibson-branded hardshell case. The case is in attractive condition, although one latch can be temperamental and occasionally requires extra attention. The remaining latches secure the case properly. These no-F-hole ES-135s were made only for a short period and appear for sale far less frequently than standard ES-135 models. This is an excellent opportunity for a player or collector looking for an uncommon American-made Gibson with distinctive construction, tremendous visual presence and a wonderfully warm, versatile voice.Price: $2,995 plus shipping. Reasonable offers are welcome. The guitar will be carefully packed for safe shipment. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
