Wonderful drum kit in superlative condition and completely original; 18”x16”, 10”x10”, 12”x12”, 14”x15”, snare drum 14”x6.5”. Dating back to the early 80s, this series was produced from 1980 to 1991.
12-ply beech “heavy” shells, with Indonesian Ebony Makassar inner and outer plies. The 10” tom has five lugs per head, the 12” has six, the floor tom and bass drum have eight. Bass drum with wooden hoops and internal damper, HLT581 snare drum with twelve double lugs and die cast hoops.
An instrument of excellent quality, with an extremely precise, warm and full-bodied sound. Despite the size, I find it reductive to consider this drum kit suitable only for Jazz: with a change of drum heads and exploiting the enormous range of intonations that these drums are capable of, it will be possible to tackle the most disparate musical genres.
