Peavey Black Widow 1501 - 8 Ω 1970-1980

A legendary and rare Peavey Black Widow 1501 – an 8-ohm, 15-inch vintage speaker. The 1501 indicating it was the very first model og Black Widow speakers.

An alternative to JBL, EV, etc. - from what I hear it's like a cross between JBL and EV.

It is a well-known speaker and used by many pedal steel guitarists as an alternative to the JBL speakers.

The speaker dates back to the 1970s or 80s. It shows signs of use but is in great aesthetic condition (see photos). I recently had it checked by a local guitar technician, who confirmed that it does works, but I have not used it so cant say anything else.

I also sell a 1503 - 8 ohm and I do have an old peavey continental PA cabinet that can be bought cheaply with one of these speakers if interested (it comes with no tweeters and is intended as a guitar cabinet).
