Hand-wound in the Fender® Custom Shop by master pickup winder Josefina Campos! The Fender Dual Mag II Strat® pickups deliver a balanced tone with sparkling highs and harmonically rich bass. The special feature here is the combination of Alnico 2 and 5 magnets: under the four low strings (E to G) sit straight Alnico 5 pole pieces, while the sound of the two high strings (B and high E) is captured by hand-slanted Alnico 2 magnets. Each pickup is shielded with copper foil against interference.

The magnets are staggered. Under the G string a "Low G" magnet provides a smooth tonal transition from wound to plain strings. The Alnico 5 under the G captures the string’s vibrations optimally and makes it "sing". The Alnico 2 magnets under the B and high E are slightly taller than vintage specs and produce clean string-to-string consistency. The Dual Mag II Strat® pickup lives up to its name — with its two magnets it produces perhaps the most beautiful, radiant guitar tone you’ve ever heard.
