Hohner Verdi II piano accordion, made in Germany. Includes the original hard case and original straps (one strap has been repaired).
A well-built vintage Hohner with an attractive and distinctive appearance, featuring ivory-coloured keys and trim, deep burgundy/red bodywork and striking green bellows. The design has a classic mid-century European look, with some subtle Art Deco influence in the grille and overall styling.
The instrument is fully playable and has been checked to confirm that all keys and bass buttons respond and produce sound. The bellows hold air well and it can be played straight away. I have cleaned it and carried out some basic work to make it functional, including re-seating a few internal valves where needed.
I don't play accordion and don't have the expertise to give a professional assessment, so it is being sold based on my own inspection and testing. It is a vintage instrument and shows normal signs of age, but it is playing well and presents very nicely. Made in Germany. Hard case included.
