The Warm Audio Fluff Drive is the manufacturer’s first signature pedal, developed in close collaboration with Ryan "Fluff" Bruce (Riffs, Beards & Gear). The goal was to thoroughly optimize a legendary 80s-era overdrive for modern metal and high-gain applications. After years of hands-on experience with thousands of pedals, Fluff pinpointed specific weaknesses in classic circuits and, together with Warm Audio, created a version that offers uncompromising punch, clarity, and control.
The Fluff Drive is an amp-driving "screaming" overdrive designed specifically for aggressive mids, tight lows, and precise response. Modified circuitry ensures that even drop-tuned guitars, baritones, and 7- and 8-string instruments remain defined and focused. A switchable Low Boost, a modified Mid Boost, and a Pre/Post Mid Enhance switch allow for precise adjustment of attack and presence—ranging from tight rhythm playing to commanding lead tones.
An integrated noise gate with High, Low, and Off modes ensures maximum control at high-gain settings, while the 18-volt Voltage Boost mode offers additional headroom and greater clarity. High-quality analog components and internal voltage doubling ensure that the Fluff Drive powerfully drives any high-gain amp, pushing power amp tubes into rich, musical saturation.
