Up for grabs is this very cool mid 90’s FujiGen built Telecaster Standard. Fender Japan never made an official signature model but this is a very close approximation of Jeff Buckley’s 1983 Tele with the toploader bridge, ash body and maple fingerboard and blonde finish. It’s a MIJ P-Serial from Fender Japan's 1995-1996 period. It is 100% factory correct with the ash body maple neck and fingerboard and toploader bridge with 6 saddles, comfy thicker C profile satin neck with vintage frets and Alnico V single coils. Has some light playwear with some finish nicks around the edges and slight unevenness to the pickguard etc, all very minor and commensurate with age, combining to give it the beginnings of a nice light relic feel and look. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine with plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications. Weight is 3.4kg. Complete with original period correct Fender branded softcase which amazingly still has the main and pocket zippers working (if you know you know.) A very cool old Toploader Tele with heavy Jeff Buckley vibes.
