With the PRS Standard 24 Satin, the name says it all: for decades, this successful 24-fret model has epitomised the classic PRS philosophy like almost no other instrument. The mahogany body with its distinctive violin-style top carve and the classically laminated ‘Pattern Thin’ mahogany neck ensure a familiar feel. When it comes to shaping the sound through the amplifier, however, PRS relies on two newly developed DMO bass and treble humbuckers. DMO stands for ‘Dynamic, Musical, Open’ and aptly describes the character of these two double-coil pickups. From clearly articulated clean tones to more powerful rock sounds, both pickups consistently retain their dynamic range and transparent tone.
