This tremolo tailpiece comes from a 1970s Eko Barracuda guitar.
The finish is matte silver, with some chrome-plated parts.
The roller shaft with the six string rollers was purchased from Phantom Guitarworks, as it was not originally included, even though the holes for installing the roller shaft were already present.
Also included are the two original screws used to mount the tremolo (the third hole is, of course, for the strap button), the tremolo spring, and the screws with their corresponding nuts and rubber spacers used to secure the tremolo to the guitar body. The original wooden insert, painted black with a glossy finish, is also present and included.
The condition is good, the tremolo is at least 50 years old, so there are some signs of age and use, but nothing that affects its functionality. The tremolo works perfectly: the arm stays firmly in place and everything operates smoothly.
This tremolo model is the same as the one used on Vox guitars made in Italy by Eko in the late 1960s, such as the Cheetah and Ultrasonic models, except that on the Vox versions, the unit is fully chrome-plated.
A rare piece, hard to find for sale.
