1968 was a revolutionary year for the amplifier program at Fender. In terms of the sounds, these models were already milestones, and reappeared in a new and fresh look. When you hear someone mention the “Silverface” Twin, they are probably referring to the Deluxe Reverb Amp.
The 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb is reminiscent of that time, when Silverfaces could be spotted in every Backline. With their clear and powerful tube sounds, rounded off by the spring reverb and vibrato, for many guitarists they are still the ultimate choice. Even non-players connect the classic sound of those days with the shiny-silver control panel of the Deluxe Reverbs.
The “Custom“ channel of the 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb, possesses a modified Bassman-ToneStack. This ensures that the modern guitarists of today receive even more flexibility and working with effect pedals is a joy. The Celestion G12V-70 speakers gives it a decent portion of Rock’n’Roll.
