I'm selling my 1993 Fender JB62 '62 Reissue Jazz Bass, Made in Japan, finished in 3-Tone Sunburst.

This is a genuine 1993 Fender Japan body (serial number N035737) in very good overall condition.

The original neck was replaced because it had become severely twisted. It was inspected by two luthiers, both of whom agreed it was beyond repair. The original neck has since been sold.

The current neck is a 2012 Squier Jazz Bass neck, Made in China (serial CGS1214306) with a rosewood fingerboard. Its profile is very close to the original Japanese Fender neck, making it comfortable and familiar to play.

The bass was professionally set up by a guitar tech before being stored in its hard case, where it has remained for several years without being played.

Sound

This bass sounds fantastic.

It has all the versatility you'd expect from a Jazz Bass, but with a character of its own. To my ears, it has a warmer, fuller and punchier voice than many Jazz Basses, with a touch of Precision Bass-like authority while still retaining the clarity and articulation of a Jazz Bass.

Of course, that's my personal impression, but it's exactly what I've always loved about this instrument.
