Hohner Orgaphon 40 MH, German-built tube combo from the 1960s. 40 watts through 2x12 speakers, point-to-point wired, with spring reverb and a proper tube tremolo/vibrato circuit.
These were designed for Hohner's own electronic organs, which is why they have the headroom and the clean voicing they do, but guitarists who find them tend to keep them. Think of it as the German answer to a brownface Fender: thick, warm, and it breaks up in a way that is its own thing rather than an imitation of anything American or British.
Point-to-point construction means it is straightforward for any competent tech to service.
Condition: good for a sixty-year-old amp. It works. Cosmetic wear is what you would expect: marks, scuffs and some wear to the covering, all visible in the photos. Original speakers.
Being honest with you: I cannot certify when it was last serviced or recapped. At this age, budget for a tech to go through it. That is reflected in the price.
LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. This is a heavy vintage tube combo and I am not equipped to crate and ship it safely. Collection near Dompierre-sur-Besbre (Allier, France), or in the Lyon area by arrangement. You are very welcome to come, plug in and play it for as long as you like before deciding.
Questions and additional photos welcome.
