The Hizumitas Mini Limited Edition is a highly limited version of the now-legendary EarthQuaker Devices fuzz pedal. To celebrate Gold Music’s 25th anniversary, the distributor collaborated with EarthQuaker Devices to create a trilogy of limited-edition, numbered pedals—with only 25 units produced for each of the three models—exclusive to the Italian market. These pedals are miniaturized versions of three best-sellers from the EarthQuaker Devices catalog: the Barrows, the Hizumitas, and the Plumes. They feature a stunning "Gold Sparkle 2026" finish created by EarthQuaker Devices specifically for this project; furthermore, the Hizumitas and Plumes models boast a worldwide exclusive regarding their form factor, as the standard versions do not share these dimensions. The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Mini was designed for the guitar wizard Wata, of the legendary band Boris. EarthQuaker Devices was thrilled to have the honor of working with such an iconic legend, known for her crushing riffs and mind-blowing lead lines. The Hizumitas is a faithful sonic recreation of her favorite distortion—the Elk BM Sustainar—which has been a staple of her sound for years. The pedal delivers heaps of distortion and smooth sustain with an underlying grit that makes the speakers sound like they are on the verge of tearing, all while offering surprising clarity that one wouldn't expect from something so aggressive.
