Up for sale is a Digidesign Digi 002 Console — a FireWire-based audio interface combined with a full control surface, originally designed as a complete recording solution for Pro Tools. A staple of home and project studios in the mid-2000s, the Digi 002 offers 16 analog inputs/outputs including 4 onboard mic preamps, plus 8 ADAT and 2 S/PDIF I/O, with 24-bit/96kHz A/D and D/A conversion.
The control surface features 8 motorized touch-sensitive faders, 8 velocity-sensitive rotary encoders, full transport controls (RTZ, REW, FFW, STOP, PLAY, REC), and dedicated Solo/Mute per channel — giving you tactile, hands-on control over your Pro Tools sessions. It can also function as a standalone 8x2 digital mixer independent of a computer connection.
Important compatibility note: This unit connects via FireWire (1394). FireWire is a legacy connection no longer natively supported on modern Mac systems — a Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter and legacy drivers are typically required for use with current macOS versions. Please verify compatibility with your specific setup before purchasing.
Condition: Good — used, fully functional unit showing normal signs of wear from studio use. The Monitor Level knob cap is missing (the potentiometer shaft underneath is intact and the control still works). All other knobs, faders, buttons, and functions are complete and working as expected.
