Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot semi-hollow electric guitar in Natural finish. Made in China in 2017 this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a ToM bridge, StopBar tail piece & a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of Epiphone passive humbucking pickups are installed, with an Alnico Classic in the neck & an Alnico Classic Plus in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays well, with the Rounded 'C' profile feeling rather substantial in the hand whilst remaining slim enough for articulate lead lines & solos. This provides a confidence inspiring grip for chord playing as well as easy fretting in any register. The Gloss finish to the rear feels pleasant to the touch and aids easy transitions up and down the neck. The semi-hollow construction makes this guitar easy on the shoulders on long gigs, and the smooth lines of the body ensure comfort in both standing or seated positions. 

The semi-hollow construction of this guitar means that it resonates and sustains very well. It produces an airy tone with an unpronounced yet well defined low end, detailed upper midrange and sparkly high frequencies. With clean settings the Alnico Classic humbucker in the neck produces a round and smooth tone, perfectly suited to jazz. When driving the amp, the tone is rich and crunchy, lending itself well to blues. A versatile package of tones, especially with the independent volume and tone controls for each pickup.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching to the front face is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Any other markings are difficult to discern. 

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light lateral scratching to the fingerboard is present throughout the register. These markings are not felt under the fingers and do not impact playability. 

Body: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. The pickguard shows mild scratching consistent with playwear. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Very good condition with mild tarnishing of the metal hardware. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
