For sale is an exceptionally rare Teardrop “Big Sky Country”, a handcrafted boutique tube amplifier designed and built by Dutch amp builder Yde Rosier.
To the best of my knowledge, the Big Sky Country is a unique one-off amplifier – only this single example was ever built.
The amplifier was conceived as a highly refined interpretation of the classic High-Powered Tweed Twin concept – combining huge, harmonically rich cleans, exceptional dynamics and touch sensitivity with considerably more versatility than the vintage originals.
Rather than being a simple vintage clone, the Big Sky Country is very much its own amplifier, adding features such as spring reverb, footswitchable tremolo, Presence control and additional voicing options while retaining the immediacy and responsiveness associated with great vintage tube amplifiers.
Yde Rosier is a Dutch boutique amp and effects builder who has been associated with the late Ken Fischer of Trainwreck Amplifiers and shares a similarly uncompromising approach to amplifier design, dynamics and tone.

Sound
The Big Sky Country delivers the authority, openness and three-dimensional character one would expect from a great high-powered vintage American amplifier.
It offers excellent note separation, rich harmonic content and exceptional dynamic response, reacting beautifully to both picking intensity and the guitar's volume control.
Clean tones are large, open and detailed, while increasing the volume produces a wonderfully organic transition into harmonically rich tube overdrive.
The onboard spring reverb and footswitchable tremolo complement the basic character of the amplifier beautifully and make the Big Sky Country considerably more versatile than the vintage designs that inspired it.
Construction
This is a genuinely handcrafted boutique amplifier rather than a mass-produced design.
Detailed photographs of the internal construction are included in the listing, showing the amplifier's circuitry, components, transformers and overall build quality.
According to the information available to us, this Big Sky Country was not part of a production run but built as a unique one-off amplifier. Confirmation and any further information from Yde Rosier will be added to the listing if available.

This particular amplifier was originally purchased directly from Yde Rosier by its first owner for approximately €3,500.
It has been carefully treated and is in excellent cosmetic and technical condition.

Important Information for International Buyers
The amplifier was built for the European market and operates on 230V AC mains power.
To the best of my knowledge, the power transformer is not switchable for different mains voltages. Buyers in countries using 100–120V mains power, including the USA, Canada and Japan, should therefore use an appropriate high-quality external step-up transformer or consult a qualified amplifier technician regarding possible conversion.
Please also note that, as an individually handcrafted boutique amplifier, the unit does not carry CE, UL or comparable international certification markings.
International buyers are responsible for checking compatibility with their local mains supply and any applicable electrical or import regulations.
Due to the value and unique nature of the amplifier, please contact me before purchasing if international shipping is required so that suitable insured shipping arrangements can be discussed.
The amplifier will be packed with exceptional care for transport.
A Truly Unique Boutique Amplifier
The Teardrop Big Sky Country represents a rare opportunity to acquire what is, to the best of our current knowledge, a unique one-off amplifier built by Yde Rosier.
Its combination of High-Powered Tweed Twin heritage, handcrafted construction, 6L6 power section, tube rectification, spring reverb, footswitchable tremolo and exceptional dynamics makes it a genuinely distinctive instrument.
This is not simply a rare model from a small production run – all information currently available indicates that this may be the only Big Sky Country ever made.
Questions are welcome, and additional detailed photographs are available on request.
