This chorus modulator puts the LFO in the UFO.
When it comes to modulation effects, there's often a sense of limitation or a sonic urge to go deeper. Death By Audio stretches the sound design potential of pedals into uncharted territory. The new Space Bender is no exception.

The Space Bender is the Queens, NYC-based manufacturer's sci-fi spin on a chorus modulator pedal. Its simple interface features both LFO and envelope-controlled delay lines combined with modulation and intensity parameters that allow users to toggle through and generate a wide range of signal shifts. With an internal gain control for added versatility, this unit is capable of producing both subtle chorus and flanger sounds as well as spacey, stretched-out textural extremes.
Features, according to Death By Audio, include:
- Speed knob controlling LFO speed, envelope sensitivity, and delay time
- Depth knob controlling depth of LFO, envelope, and delay feedback
- Delay time switch controlling overall delay time range, from very short to medium-long
- Modulator switch setting the main source of modulation for delay (sine wave or envelope)
- Intensity switch setting overall intensity of effects (creating oscillations and feedback)
- Internal gain control for more versatility, ranging from unity to 'way too loud'
- 9V DC (runs on standard 2.1mm negative center 9V DC adapter)
- 65 mA draw
