This 1964 Gibson Hummingbird N is an extraordinary example of one of Gibson’s most beloved acoustic designs, presented here in exceptionally clean, near mint condition. You simply will never find a nice one anywhere. With only 292 natural-finish Hummingbirds produced in 1964, this is an extremely rare and highly collectible iteration of the early square-shouldered dreadnought that helped define the look and sound of the 1960s singer-songwriter era. And, this guitar was released from Gibson with a standard tortoise pickguard without the familiar, etched and filled Hummingbird design - a wild anomaly.Bold, warm, and beautifully balanced, this Hummingbird delivers that classic Gibson mahogany dreadnought voice—sweet mids, articulate highs, and a dry, woody character that records effortlessly. The natural top shows the lightest checking, barely any signs of use, and a tight grain pattern. The back and sides are similarly gorgeous with beautiful grain.
