The ES-335’s body is crafted with layered maple/poplar/maple for the top, back, and sides. It is coupled with a solid maple centerblock to create the amazing sustain, warmth, and resonant tone that players crave in a semi-hollowbody instrument. The solid maple center block also helps in controlling the unwanted feedback that often plagues full hollowbody guitars. The mahogany neck has a Rounded C profile that is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It’s not too large or too small, but “just right” for many players. It is capped with a rosewood fretboard with a 12” radius that makes it easy to play chords and bend strings without fretting out, and that is adorned with acrylic dot inlays, and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets.
