Up for sale is my Friedman SS-100 V2, Dave Friedman's signature amplifier developed with Steve Stevens. This is the hand-wired, made-in-USA flagship, and this particular unit stands out with a one-of-a-kind custom black crocodile/alligator front panel covering — a tasteful, fully custom touch that sets it apart from any stock example while keeping the classic blacked-out Friedman look.The SS-100 V2 is a 100-watt, all-tube, three-channel high-gain tone machine. It runs 4 x EL-34 power tubes and 5 x 12AX7 preamp tubes with re-voiced dirty channels that is more percussive and dynamic while keeping the plexi-like high-gain tones the original is famous for, and the untouched, high-headroom sparkling clean channel. Features include master volume and gain per channel, a shared EQ (bass, middle, treble) with fat switch, an independent clean tone stack with 3-way bright switch, global Thump, Presence and System Volume, an ultra-transparent series FX loop, and a 16/8/4 ohm impedance selector with custom USA-made transformers. From shimmering cleans to the high-gain monster tone that put Steve Stevens on the map, this amp does blues, classic rock, hard rock and metal effortlessly, and it takes pedals and boosts beautifully.Condition: Excellent. Fully functional, runs perfectly. Cosmetically near-mint with only one small mark on the front — nothing significant, purely aesthetic.
