PLIXIR ELITE BAC 400 MKII - BALANCED POWER CONDITIONER

The Elite BAC MK II is the new generation Balanced Power Conditioner from PLiXiR.  Based on the award winning Elite BAC, which has been in continual production since 2016, the Elite BAC MK II improves upon the original on all performance aspects. Users of the original Elite BAC will appreciate the even lower natural noise floor, the improved dynamics and PRaT, the unveiling of even more nuances and aural details, the increased body to the sound that the Elite BAC MK II provides, all without sacrificing the neutral and natural tone which PLiXiR is known for. 
The Elite BAC MK II features our newly designed Fully Symmetrical Balanced Transformers, made to our spec by Noratel with their proprietary XQ core.  Together with improved case works, customed Bfly “Pure” footers, PLiXiR designed OFC internal hookup wires and improved construction technique, the Elite BAC MK II is set to raise the bar for Balanced Power Conditioning for audio application for years to come.

PLiXiR Fully Symmetrical Balanced Transformer Design. Made with Noratel XQ Core.
Our new transformer design improves upon the standard with even more tightly matched transformer windings amongst other improvements. This increases noise cancellation for even lower noise floor and purer tone. Improved dynamic and PRaT when every part is synchronized.
Customed made by Noratel to our spec with their proprietary XQ (Extra Quiet) magnetic core material, this core has the lowest hum and vibration from all we have tried and provides maximum insulation against DC component in the AC mains.
It also comes with a NEW integrated external magnetic shield to reduce flux leakage and improve damping for the transformer for a cleaner sound.

Other Features

Casing
Extra rigid aluminium vault casing – Thick precision extruded and CNC machined aluminium slabs form the casing for the PLiXiR Elite BAC MK II. The new casing design has even less joints over the original Elite BAC that improves the general sound further. The bottom plate is a hefty 8mm thick plate of aluminium that anchors the whole casing.

Vibration Control
Isolated by Bfly Audio - We use a customed made Bfly Audio's “Pure” Series isolation footers from Germany for our Elite BAC MK II. The multi layer, composite material design of the Bfly footers isolate the Elite BAC MK II from the ill effects of self and environmental vibration and contribute to the natural sound of the Elite BAC MK II.

Master-crafted
Build and tested by Master craftsman -- Each BAC is hand-made by a master craftsman. As much as possible, all electrical connections are done by point to point direct soldering with minimal use of connectors and joints that degrades sound. At the final stage, all Elite BAC MK II is QC tested and sound tuned by James Soh, the Chief Designer and Founder of PLiXiR Power to ensure reliability and the PLiXiR Sound for each PLiXiR product.
