Original model built at Mike Fuller's California factory!

The Fulltone Mini-Deja'Vibe 3 (MDV-3) brings the unmistakable sound of a true vintage Univibe into an incredibly compact enclosure, making it the perfect solution for players who demand authentic analogue modulation without sacrificing valuable pedalboard space.

Despite its small footprint—smaller than a standard wah pedal—the MDV-3 delivers the lush, organic swirl, deep throb, and unmistakable three-dimensional character that made the original Univibe one of the most sought-after modulation effects in guitar history.

Unlike the countless pedals that merely imitate the Univibe using modified phaser circuits and operational amplifiers, the Mini-Deja'Vibe 3 is built as a genuine Univibe clone, employing the same fundamental design principles as the original late-'60s units.

Its circuit features four hermetically sealed glass photocells driven by a real incandescent lamp, faithfully recreating the unique asymmetrical sweep that no conventional phaser can reproduce. Mike Fuller went even further by recreating the response characteristics of original 1960s photocells, carefully matching not only their light and dark resistance values but also their attack and decay times, which play a crucial role in the unmistakable feel of a true Univibe.

The pedal operates internally at 18+ volts and uses a fully discrete analogue signal path, with no op-amps in the audio circuit. Instead, it is built using carefully selected NOS Panasonic Matsushita 2SC828 transistors, along with the original 2SC539 transistor in the preamp stage, just like the vintage Univibes. These details contribute significantly to its exceptional warmth, depth, and touch sensitivity.

In classic Fulltone fashion, even the speed control received special attention. The MDV-3 features a custom-built dual-gang speed potentiometer with a vintage-correct taper inspired by the original Univibe units, while offering an extended slow-speed range and exceptional long-term reliability.

Additional features include a durable blue finish, a pulsing blue LED that follows the hypnotic modulation rate, and a robust True Bypass footswitch that can be comfortably engaged from either heel or toe.

Mike Fuller has been building authentic vintage Univibe reproductions since 1992, and his designs have found their way onto the pedalboards of artists including Robin Trower, Peter Frampton, and Doyle Bramhall II, among many others who demand the closest possible experience to an original Univibe.

Built during the original Mike Fuller era at the Fulltone factory in California, the Mini-Deja'Vibe 3 is widely regarded as one of the finest and most authentic compact Univibe pedals ever produced, offering true vintage modulation in a format designed for today's pedalboards.
