Gibson GA-90P Vintage Tube Combo Amp + Custom Flight Case

Offered for sale is a rare and highly collectible Gibson GA-90P tube amplifier from approx 1956-57 including a custom made flightcase with brandnew interior padding.

Manufactured in Gibson’s legendary Kalamazoo, Michigan factory, the GA-90 is considered one of Gibson’s most distinctive amplifiers of the 1950s. Its warm, rich and three-dimensional tone has made it a favorite among vintage guitar enthusiasts, recording studios and harmonica players alike.

This amplifier has been carefully maintained over the years and remains fully functional. It is an honest vintage example that has been preserved rather than cosmetically over-restored.

Condition

The amplifier is in remarkably well-preserved vintage condition for its age.

The cabinet shows attractive and authentic wear consistent with nearly 70 years of careful use. The amplifier has not been refinished or cosmetically restored to appear new. Instead, it retains the character and originality that serious vintage collectors appreciate.

To the best of my knowledge, the amplifier retains its original transformers and period-correct speaker configuration. All components shown in the photographs appear consistent with the amplifier’s production period.

The custom flight case provides excellent protection for storage and transportation and is included in the sale.

Sound

The GA-90 delivers a warm, open and highly dynamic vintage tone with exceptional clarity and depth. It works equally well for guitar, studio recording and amplified harmonica (which I used it for to my great satisfaction for more than 25 years)
